I'll be speaking this evening at Bethnal Green Working Men's Club, London, at an event to mark the announcement of the 2021 Queen Mary Wasafiri New Writing Prize, along with fellow judges Christie Watson, Tishani Doshi and Hirsh Sawhney. Our winners and shortlistees can be found here.

I will be giving a keynote lecture at the Futures for Creative Writing online conference today. This is an event to celebrate 50 years of the UEA Creative Writing programme. The title of the lecture is 'Creative Writing and the Democratisation of Literary Access'.
